Who is Danish?

This article was originally published in Danish on April 30, 2017.

Recently, there has been a pointless and infantile discussion about what it means to be Danish. Statistics Denmark1 calls people Danish if they were born in Denmark and at least one of their parents was also born in Denmark and is a Danish citizen. In this way, hundreds of thousands of complete strangers become “Danes” in the blink of an eye.

Without Danish blood – no Danes

This is, of course, a deliberate way of fudging the statistics in order to deceive the Danish population. The projections made in this way show that the proportion of foreigners will remain modest, even if it increases slightly, while the truth is that Danes are fast becoming a minority in their own country. While the statistics say that there are less than 10% foreigners in the country today, the reality is that there are well over 20%, and this gap between the numbers will widen as more and more people become Danish citizens. This is a good time to recall how politicians back in the 1980s claimed that there would never be more than a fraction of 1% foreigners in the country and that Denmark would never become a multicultural society. Yes, there wouldn’t be more foreigners than could fit on a couple of soccer fields…

Some believe that you have to be a Christian to be Danish – which would exclude a large number of good Danish men and women. Others believe that you have to participate in associations and “love Denmark” – and Bertel Haarder believes that you should teach foreigners how to ride a bike. It caused a bit of a stir that the Danish People’s Party did not immediately buy Statistics Denmark’s definition, but talked about Danes – the real Danes – being a minority in many residential areas, even though a majority of Danish citizens live there. As usual, DPP2 was pussyfooting around and tried to talk their way out of the slander.

No one has the courage to tell it like it is: To be Danish is to be of Danish descent. Being Danish is genetic, and modern DNA research can accurately distinguish an average Dane from an average German. Of course, there is a grain of truth in the fact that we have always had modest immigration, but this has come from genetically closely related peoples with the same European culture as ours. They have been accepted into the people because they wanted to be part of it and because the difference between a German and a Dane is genetically meaningless. When we say that we don’t want the current influx of foreigners from Asia, the Middle East and Africa, it’s their genes we don’t want, and they will never in a thousand years become Danish – regardless of whether they get a Danish passport or not. You can’t just replace the Danes with completely different people and pretend nothing happened.

They cannot be absorbed into the Danish people without changing its genetic material to such an extent that it becomes meaningless to talk about Denmark and the Danes. They want to transform this society into a society that corresponds to their genetic material, which you see realized today in Somalia, Congo and the Middle East, where you experience the blessings of the multicultural society every day. We don’t want Denmark to end up like that. Denmark must not become another Syria, Iraq, Lebanon or Congo. Therefore, foreigners should not be integrated. Each and every one of them must be removed from the Danish national body. Everyone knows that, so say it out loud! Denmark should be for the real Danes!

  1. The central statistical office in Denmark. It collects all of society’s statistical information for use in administration, research, education, etc. Another waste of taxpayers’ money and a burden on the already busy business sector to provide internal information on demand. ↩︎
  2. The Danish People’s Party ↩︎

  1. super godt skrevet. ! Det handler nemlig om genitik! Nu om dage ser man ingen blonde kvinder uden en sort kæreste på armen, og et kuld sorte børn i hælene. Det er fortvivlende at vores gener ødelægges på denne måde. Det burde være strafbart!
